One of the challenges in job hunting is seeing what’s out there. Indeed‘s app, Job Search compiles thousands of listings from different websites and job boards into one spot. You can search by city and include keywords (i.e. marketing, accounting, public relations) to narrow your search to actual relevant results. If you’re looking online, this is the place to start.

Evernote is one of the most versatile tools out there. For job hunting, it a great place to write down what you talk about with professionals on the phone, take notes during a meeting, and so much more. You can add tags to makes sure that you can find information & names easily. I use it at least 10 times a day. If you don’t use it already, start.

3. Microsoft Excel

It’s hard to remember what jobs you applied for when. Should you follow up yet? Is it too soon? Instead of worrying, create an Excel doc that contains all the jobs you applied for, when you applied, and a link to job posting. Every time you apply for another job, add it to the list!

Keep in mind that these are tools. Your success in your job search depends 100% on you.

The best tool for your job search is the one you’ll use.
